Each December, while others delight in hiding chocolates, MATH+ engages high school students, university students, teachers, and all math enthusiasts with challenging mathematical brainteasers.

The MATH+ Advent Calendar features 24 puzzles, released daily from 01-24 December in both German and English. In a simple yet enjoyable manner, these puzzles demonstrate that mathematics is not only fascinating and creative but also highly practical. Each year, the puzzles are thoughtfully crafted by MATH+ researchers in collaboration with their colleagues from the Dutch initiative 4TU.AMI.

Participation in the MATH+ Advent Calendar is free and open to everyone: whether individual players or entire classes.

The most dedicated participants have the chance to win one of many fantastic prizes.

The festive award ceremony is scheduled for 24 January 2025, at the Freie Universität Berlin.

For more information, visit the MATH+ Advent Calendar website (available in both English and German).
