Therefore, we are looking for a dedicated and interested mathematician who enjoys working with students and schools and would like to join our great team at TU Berlin. Exciting and diverse working fields:

  • Planning, coordination, and implementation of the well-known Math Advent Calendar, which is under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
  • Planning, coordination, and implementation of the school activities of the Cluster of Excellence MATH+
  • Planning, coordination, and realization of the lecture series MathInside “for schools and the general public
  • Planning, coordination, and implementation of high-profile public events, e.g., representation of the MATH+ cluster at the Long Night of the Sciences Berlin (LNdW)
  • Planning, coordination, and presentation of the MATH+ cluster during visits of school classes 

 

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Successfully completed university studies in mathematics (diploma, master’s degree, or equivalent)
  • School and teaching experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of LaTeX is an advantage
  • Experience with content management systems is an advantage
  • Experience in event organization is an advantage
  • Good command of written and spoken German and English
  • Open and friendly nature, good communication skills, good presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team, reliability, flexibility, and independently
