As in previous years, the Berlin Clusters of Excellence are once again teaming up to organize a SCIENCE SLAM at the Berlin Science Week 2025 on November 6. The Science Slam has, as always, attracted a lot of interest in the research coming out of the participating Clusters of Excellence. Florian Frick will discuss geometric, quantitative versions of these ideas: if two spaces are not the same, to what extent do they differ? If a space cannot sit inside another, how much discontinuity is forced on any injective function? Florian Frick is an alumnus of the Berlin Mathematical School and a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University.
