Description

As a follow-up to project EF4-5: An agent-based understanding of green growth, the present project builds on the agent-based models (ABM) developed there to contribute to a theoretical understanding of transition mechanisms. The agent-based model was extended to consider labour aspects and investigated as a high-dimensional Markov process. Building a bridge between agent-based models and molecular dynamics, it was shown that an operator theoretic approach, learning Koopman invariant subspaces, and extracting a graph representation with dominant pathways between macrostates can provide insights on different structures in the transition dynamics of the model’s scenarios. This information would remain invisible when looking at its trajectories only.
