We propose a mathematical and computational “open laboratory” for opinion formation based on many AI agents with explicit personas debating an open issue (e.g. sustainable mobility). After each debate (interaction), agents are mapped to a low-dimensional opinion space and tracked over time. We then learn and calibrate effective opinion-dynamics models that match the observed trajectories, quantify when they fail, and study the impact of persona composition and external media interventions on the outcomes of the conversations. The result is a reproducible platform for hypothesis testing about opinion formation under heterogeneous identities.
