Starting in January 2020, Robert Weismantel will be one of four new Einstein Visiting Fellows in Berlin. The Professor of Mathematics ETH Zürich and Director of the Institute for Operations Research will join MATH+ for three years. The focus of his research is on discrete mathematics and mathematical optimization. During his cooperation in Berlin he will build up a research group at TU Berlin with the aim to develop a theory for previously unresearched mixed-integer optimization problems in high dimensions.
